Case Study #1 - Upstand Wall Anchors

Upstand wall anchors are used most often around a penthouse wall. The ability to penetrate the penthouse wall and use the structural floor, steel, or wall itself, saves the cost of roofing and flashing typically associated with roof anchors.

Rigid Upstand Wall Anchors are used for non-structural wall and utilize the strength of the penthouse floor for support.

After installation a caulking material is put around the 3-½" anchor post to ensure moisture protection.

Reinforced Upstand Wall Anchors are used when some support is provided by the penthouse wall, but not sufficient enough to meet the codes. A bolt is secured through the wall to the reinforcement anchor installed inside the penthouse.
